PARTNER WITH LINCOLN COUNTY FOOD BANK
Lincoln County Food Bank depends solely upon the generosity of individuals and organizations in our community and surrounding areas. Please consider making Lincoln County Food Bank your charity of choice.

WAYS TO HELP

  • food donations
  • money donations
  • conduct a food drive within your neighborhood, church, organization, or business
  • In Memory donations
  • volunteer

We have added a page on our website where donations made ‘in memory’ of someone will list the person’s name, so that their legacy lives on in the lives of others needing food assistance.

TAX DEDUCTIBLE

All donations are fully tax-deductible and receipts are provided.

VOLUNTEER

Consider signing up to volunteer two hours per week at the Food Bank or to be one of our substitute volunteers who serve on an ‘as needed’ basis to work when our regular volunteers are unavailable. It is only a 2-hour-per-week commitment even for our regular volunteers. We also need volunteers who can occasionally be called to pick up donations or shelve items before the food bank opens. To volunteer please call: 575-315-4928.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE & UPKEEP

There are numerous ways we can use your support! We have recently purchased a building so that the food bank is more accessible for our clients and we are able to maintain a consistent physical presence in our community.

OFFICE & SUPPORT STAFF

ALL of our staff, board members, and technical support are unpaid volunteers so 100% of donations can go to buying food, our building expenses, and fees maintaining our 501C (3) status.

Because much of our food is purchased through Lincoln County grocers, your donations also help to grow our local economy.

TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS

Our success in the fight against hunger depends on the support of people like you spreading the word in the community.
We will accept:

    • unopened, canned goods
    • packaged dry goods
    • fresh produce.

Please check to make sure canned or packaged foods have not expired, as we can only distribute unexpired food.

We especially need:

    • canned vegetablespartner with Lincoln County Food Bank
    • soup
    • fruit
    • tuna
    • peanut butter
    • jelly
    • spaghetti sauce
    • cereal
    • oatmeal
    • rice
    • crackers

We keep a year-round collection barrel at both the main United States Post Office both in Alto and Ruidoso, so you can drop off food donations at either of those locations at your convenience.

Seasonal visitors can also assist the Food Bank. If you are returning home after your stay, contact the Food Bank at 575-257-0682 during business hours and we will assist you in donating your food.

CONDUCTING A FOOD DRIVE

The food drives by organizations, such as US Post Office, county schools, IMG Cash for Cans, Albertson’s Fill the Bus, our public library, and other civic organizations and businesses are vital to the continued ability to serve those in need.

There are a number of months, however, when no food drives are conducted and food items available for distribution dwindle. If your organization or business would like to help conduct a brief food drive, we would love to work with you. Contact us at 575-257-0682 or click on the contact page and send us your information to receive organizing and/or collection information.
